About Me
I love to learn and try new things. Pushing the boundaries of what I know and what I can do motivates me further every day.
A few years ago, I bought the cheapest available “Bookshelf” at the local superstore. The first time I tried to move it… it broke and folded up. After that I started to devote my spare time to creating household items that I hoped would stand up to more rigorous use.
After realizing that most homes are probably filled with similar affordable furniture that probably came out of a cardboard box I felt compelled to start sharing my experiences.
Think back 50, 80, and 100 years ago. The average person was making, what is arguably more amazing and beautiful things with much less sophisticated tools than what we do today. Look back even further and people were carving amazing cathedrals out of stone.
Don’t think of this site as a motivational or inspirational source. I genuinely want everyone to know that with a teeny tiny bit of effort they are more capable than they ever thought.
This site is simply a memoire of my journey, and I hope you enjoy my successes and laugh at my failures.
